Episode 057 - Page Curl
by Richard Querin
In this screencast, I demonstrate a fairly quick way of creating a corner page curl. I then show one way of putting a photo onto this page. This screencast was done with Inkscape 0.46, although I didn’t use any of the new features in 0.46 for this one. I’m still trying to catch up! ![]()

Ah! I love barenaked ladies. The band is pretty good too…BADDA BING!
Is this the coolest looking episode thumbnail that we have so far?

Don - No problem for the recognition. We’re starting to get a fair amount of suggestion feedback which is nice. I know the process I used was likely significantly different from what you had done, but your email is definitely what prompted my playing around with it. You should also thank heathenx for that recognition too, since for the life of me I couldn’t find that email to confirm your name, but he pulled it up and sent it to me straight away.
heathenx - I remember early on in their career they were going to hold a concert in Toronto and the idiot Mayor cancelled it (if I remember correctly) because of the band name. She had no clue as to what the music or band was like.. she just caved to the pressure of the nervous ninnies who didn’t like the reference. When I was a kid, I remember we said ‘barenaked’ way more often than just ‘naked’. Not sure why. Just sounded cooler.

Maybe “barenaked” is a Canadian thing. Perhaps that’s where their name comes from. That would be interesting if true.
That’s a funny story about your past Toronto mayor. I wonder if she would have let bands like Bush and Vertical Horizon play. Hmm…
