This is a really great site and has been lots of help. I’m using .47 and when I try to convert my image into a path it says “No objects to convert to path in selection” or something close to that. What could be causing this?
You cannot convert an image (I assume you’re talking about a bitmap image like a jpg or png) directly into a path. You can use the Trace Bitmap function to try to convert an image into a path, but you can’t do it any other way.
You can however turn a bitmap into a pattern. Then you can use that pattern to fill a rectangular shape. This is most likely what you’re after. You can select the bitmap image, then select Object->Object To Pattern. Then you can use this pattern in the Fill tab of the Fill&Stroke dialog box.
If you’re not talking about a bitmap sort of image, but something else, let us know.

Wonderful blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers?

a paid option? There are so many options out
there that I’m totally confused .. Any tips? Thanks a
