HI, I can\’t get the gradient circle to stay on top, even using raise to top, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks a lot for these tutorials. You make it seem so easy and the results are so stunning and look very sophisticated. Thanks for the effort and I am sure a lot of people who don’t comment are still very appreciative of what you have here.

Hello, and thanks.
I’m still a newbie, hopefully my mistake is obvious and fixable: I’ve found that when I try to apply a gradient, the gradient handles just stay where they are rather than “stick” to the object. When I move the object around, the gradient applies the effect from the old position, changing the effect.
I’ve found the same thing happens when applying patterns . . .if I move the object, the pattern moves as well, sometimes revealing a tile-line.
Ever had this happen?

In your upper toolbar all of the way the right you have an “Affect” section with four buttons. Two of them control gradients and patterns when moving objects. You may have those two unpressed.
