I don’t think it’s a bug, do you try to zoom before do it and keep shift or ctrl key pressed ?

Well, I installed it for Windows, but I had a problem with gradients combined with texts.

Great news !

Since I upgrade to snow leopard, inkscape don’t want to launch, so I used my entreprise’s illustrator licence ….

Thanks to the inkscape team, now, I can send to trash illustrator, the poorest tool I ever used

it’s so hard to do something simple with illustrator like draw a gear, apply gradient colors, export only one asset as png …..
