I came across a rather interesting extension for Inkscape this morning found on InkscapeForum.com. It’s called PixelSnap, written by Mr. Brian Hoyt. In a nutshell it aligns all objects to the nearest pixel (without using that darned grid snapping method). I tried it myself and it works as advertised.  It’s rather handy for correcting small web graphics by getting them as sharp as possible after exporting them to bitmap.
