HURRY! You’ve got until September 25th to submit your proposal/presentation for Libre Graphics Day. They need your participation.
I came across a rather interesting extension for Inkscape this morning found on InkscapeForum.com. It’s called PixelSnap, written by Mr. Brian Hoyt. In a nutshell it aligns all objects to the nearest pixel (without using that darned grid snapping method). I tried it myself and it works as advertised. It’s rather handy for correcting small web graphics by getting them as sharp as possible after exporting them to bitmap. Read more and download the extension from here: http://code.google.com/p/pixelsnap
I’ve just posted Episode 096 which demonstrates how to use Inkscape’s Axonometric grid feature to create isometric illustrations for things like fancy pseudo-3d diagrams or Game maps etc.
This is the first Inkscape screencast I’ve done that I edited together using Blender.
Blender rocks.
