I have been working on my first particle ring in Blender. This is a short animation of a particle effect that follows a circular path around a ring object. There are a bazillion takes on this on YouTube and all of them are much better than mine. I haven’t been able to get too spectacular with things just yet, since this is my first time but I’m getting closer to achieving my goal. I add as I learn. So far I have something that looks acceptable but still I can’t help but thinking it needs more. Troy Sobotka, the Blender go-to-guy for Richard and I, has made some suggestions on what I need to add, such as, a glare effect. I’ll try to add that as soon as I can. In the meantime perhaps you would like to take a look at what I have thus far. Particle ring.
