Need a New Bible
February 13th, 2009 by heathenxMy Machinery’s Handbook (“The Bible”) is getting quite dated. Suppose I’ll have to get a new one soon. Only bad thing is that I have highlighted and added notes to a gazillion pages. Hanging onto it a little longer only postpones the inevitable.

New ones are so expensive.

Please tell me you don’t carry that thing around in your back pocket!
Why don’t you just have one of your minions start scanning it to pdf…

Maybe I can get Google to scan it.
Actually, this book comes on a CD-ROM too but I’m too old-school I guess. I like a good reference book…you know, for toilet times.

Yeah either that or as a stepstool, temporary car jackstand or probably even as an anvil for those weekend blacksmithing projects.
That sir is a real book, not one of those namby-pamby 300 pagers.. Go big or go home.
Kay. I’m done.

Even though I never used it much after getting out of trade school, I do miss that book. I don’t know where mine went (circa 1993) but I used to keep it in my tool chest long after I had to part with my machinist’s gear. It had so much info in it, and I don’t see me going to my computer with my grubby hands to look something up
