@Inkscaper

What I meant was we will be able to use a shape copied to the clipboard to use as brush for a spiro path. Here's an example. That's not limited to just spiro paths. Bezier paths are included too.

What did you mean by "use a shape copied to the clipboard as a brush"? A bend/pattern along a path effects or maybe recently sth similar to artistic brushes from Illustrator was developed?

Keep an eye on Andy Fitzsimon's blog. I think he's going to have a tutorial posted shortly. If not then I will make a quick-n-dirty 'cast so that you can see how it works.

If anyone is a Windows user then you can download dev builds already compiled from Inkscape.org. The rest of us get to compile ourselves.

That looks very cool. Do a blue one with the swirls a little more subdued. I need a desktop wallpaper. 1920x1200 if you please. ;)

You see lots of this type of stuff in some very recent design trends (web and otherwise). I'm not sure what it's called. Almost like a fractal type design only much more natural looking.

Hmm.. You better be screencasting this... Or I will sic Don on you - again. :)
